Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Market Center

For 2 nights we didn't have soap. Elevators were not working. Only one of the handicapped parking on anyone night was occupied my handicap plates or placards. Employees park in the handicap van loading zones. Beds were good. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean however we had to move one night due to extreme mildew. Water pressure is abysmal. Price was okay. Plenty of parking. Easy to get to.

We were able to easily check in through their app and the roll key worked well. The lobby is very inviting and the front desk staff were always pleasant. The location was in-between Love and downtown and was right off of a main highway. It appears to be a very nice hotel, however our room was extremely disappointing. Based on previous rates, I requested a room away from the highway. We could not hear any street noise at all from our room. However, the walls were very thin to the point you can hear whole conversation in neighboring room. They did provide earplugs... There were mystery brown stains on the window curtains, inoperable outlets by the bed and tv. There was a cracked sink with plaster caked in. The same sink was clogged but they did repair soon after we notified them. There was also patch work on the walls throughout room. There was also the annoying design-for that had a sliding door that services the bathroom and the closet. The most offensive thing was the urine smell on carpet next to bed. We weren't in the room for long periods but we did notify the front desk and they were apologetic and assured us they would address the issues. The front desk staff were great.

Our room was great, nice and cool a/c in our room. Bathrooms need ventilation as the sliding doors close on their own frequently and trap moisture easily. Overall it was a decent stay but the common areas seemed unusual dirty like maybe they are short staffed on housekeeping. The worst part was the pool. We came so that my oldest and I could go to a concert and my husband and youngest planned to swim. That plan was cancelled when they took one look at the pool. It was green and disgustingly dirty, like it hadn't been cleaned, the filter wasn't working and it was growing algae. The only solution the staff provided was a hose of water in the pool. Honestly it needs major attention by a pool company. I'm attaching a picture because there's no way it's safe to swim in. The pond next to the building was only a shade or two darker 🤢

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good (and hot) with a lot of options. My issue(s): I wish the pool was open later instead of closing at 9 pm. We got in late due to an event and it was closed (bummer). The sliding door for the bathroom didn’t close all the way so there was a gap where someone could see into the bathroom when someone else was taking a shower or using to commode. I was with my sons’ and I had to stuff a towel in the doorway to cover the gap. Also, one of the outlets didn’t work on the bedside table which made charging our phones difficult but overall it was a good/decent stay. We didn’t experience any highway noise pollution that others have mentioned in the reviews but we could hear the people above us. Was a bit pricey but I booked close to our arrival day.
